The 2025 Lexus NX brings a comprehensive suite of advanced technology features that transform...
The Lexus NX has been a popular model in the compact luxury SUV since it arrived on the market a few years ago. With a style that really stands out from its rivals, a cabin assembled with the best materials on the market and powerful and efficient engines, this small luxury SUV has everything buyers are looking for in this segment. Here's how the 2020 Lexus NX compares to the 2020 Infiniti QX50 on paper.
A greater choice of powertrains in the 2020 Lexus NX
Under the hood, the Lexus NX offers more choice and better fuel economy than its rival. Two engine options are on the menu for the NX, including a hybrid engine. The latter unpacks 194 horsepower and 152 lb-ft of torque. In terms of consumption, the NX Hybrid (300h) consumes 7.2 L/100 km in the city and 7.9 L/100 km on the highway. You won’t find a more efficient engine in the segment. A second engine with more power is available, and it develops 235 horsepower thanks to a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder.
The QX50, on the other hand, offers only one engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that develops a little more power, but is considerably less fuel efficient than the NX's hybrid engine. In addition it uses a variable compression technology which should give it better energy efficiency, but this is not the case. Finally, the reliability of this new engine has not yet been proven.
Two transmissions are available with the NX, depending on the engine and variant. There’s a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, and a continuously variable transmission. The QX50 offers only one transmission choice, a CVT.
A more sophisticated interior in the 2020 Lexus NX
Inside, the Lexus NX offers more space than the QX50 for the driver and passengers. It comes standard with an 8-speaker audio system (compared to six for the QX50), in addition to the Enform Safety Connect system which includes automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle location, an emergency (SOS) emergency button and improved roadside assistance.
To top it off, the Lexus NX is offered at a lower cost. With a price of $44,230 versus $ 47,208 for the QX50, here is another good reason to buy a 2020 Lexus NX. You can shop your vehicle online with us. Our advisers are ready by phone and email to answer all your questions.
