The 2025 Lexus NX brings a comprehensive suite of advanced technology features that transform...
The 2023 Lexus ES benefits from the addition of the new Lexus Interface infotainment system. Combined with its numerous other safety and comfort technologies, this makes the ES a very technologically advanced premium sedan.
The new infotainment system
The addition of the Lexus Interface infotainment system is the biggest news for the 2023 Lexus ES. This new system, which was introduced in the 2022 NX, is capable of many things that were impossible with the previous infotainment system, such as the natural speech hands-free voice commands that can be activated simply by saying “Hey Lexus”. The voice command system can be used to control the Lexus Assistant which can help you find a destination or answer a text message, among other functions. Since it is connected to the cloud, the Lexus Interface can store information outside the vehicle, which means that you can log into your driver profile from any other Lexus vehicle equipped with the latest infotainment system. This means that your radio stations, your seat and mirror position as well as your vehicle settings can follow you from vehicle to vehicle.
The safety technologies
The 2023 Lexus ES is equipped with all of the latest active safety features from Lexus as part of the standard LSS 2.5+ suite of technologies. These include the forward collision alert with intersection support and pedestrian detection, the Lane-keeping assist with steering intervention, and the rear cross-traffic alert, among many others. These technologies as well as the passive safety features of the ES earned it the Top Safety Pick + award from the IIHS last year.
Three efficient and smooth powertrains
The 2023 Lexus ES is offered with three different powertrains that offer something for everyone. The ES 350 is the sportier ES due to its 3.5L V6 engine that produces 302 horsepower. The ES 250 AWD is the most affordable ES and also the most capable in the winter due to the all-wheel drive system that is coupled to its 2.5L four-cylinder engine. Finally, the ES 300h is the most fuel-efficient ES ever due to its hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5L engine and an electric motor to return fuel consumption figures as low as 5.2 L/100 km on the highway.
