The 2025 Lexus NX brings a comprehensive suite of advanced technology features that transform...
The new 2022 Lexus NX revealed earlier this month is a new generation of one of Canada’s most comfortable and refined compact SUVs. More luxurious with more tech and improved efficiency, the Lexus NX also receives a very impressive new plug-in hybrid version.
The latter will feature a combination of a traditional four-cylinder engine with an electric powertrain and a large battery providing nearly 60 kilometres of range. That’s more than the BMW X3 PHEV or Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e. The NX 450h plug-in hybrid also features 305 horsepower and can reach 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. A traditional hybrid will be offered with 239 horsepower along with an average fuel consumption rating of just 6.5 litres per 100 kilometres.
Last but not least, we get an impressive new 2.4-litre standard turbocharged engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. This will be one of the most powerful engines in the segment, and it will be standard in the new NX when it arrives in the Fall.
Other additions include a redesigned and more luxurious interior, new performance features for the F-Sport model, and new safety technology including Oncoming Pedestrian Braking, Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection, and Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist. A new 14-inch centre display will be available in F-Sport versions while the base screen is a 9.8 inch display. Lastly, the new NX features Lexus’ redesigned logo in the back.
