The 2025 Lexus NX brings a comprehensive suite of advanced technology features that transform...
The Lexus IS is the entry-level sedan from Lexus, but it is also its sportiest. Thus, many powertrain options are available to you.
The IS 300 RWD
The rear-wheel drive version of the IS 300 is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that develops 241 horsepower. This engine serves as the least expensive engine of the least expensive Lexus sedan, but it is not short on technology and power. Despite its spirited performances, this engine only requires 7.6 L/100km on average on the highway.
The IS 300 AWD
The All-wheel drive option on the IS 300 replaces the 4-cylinder unit by a 3.5 liter V6 engine, which is good for 260 horsepower. This engine adds smoothness and refinement to the already refined IS by making a 6-cylinder engine accessible lower in the model range.
The IS 350 AWD
The 2022 Lexus IS 350 all-wheel drive uses the same 3.5L V6 engine as the IS 300 AWD, with the difference that the output is boosted to 311 horsepower. This engine gives the IS some serious performance and a sporty feel that is not present in many compact premium sedans. Despite this power increase, the fuel consumption stays the same as in the IS 300 AWD, at 9.0 L/100km on the highway.
The IS 500
The 2022 IS 500 is the flagship of the IS line and the successor to the ISF which went out of production many years ago now. This model is equipped with an exclusive 5.0 liter V8 engine which delivers 472 horsepower to the rear wheels via a Direct Shift 8-speed gearbox that provides lightning quick shifts in order to make the most of the impressive power of the IS 500, which is the ultimate IS and one of the very rare sedans to still be available with an eight cylinder engine in a performance version.
