The 2025 Lexus NX brings a comprehensive suite of advanced technology features that transform...
The 2022 Lexus RX is equipped with a number of technologies that are engineered to provide you and your passengers with the highest level of active and passive safety, of which these are three examples.
The forward pre-collision alert
The 2022 Lexus RX comes standard with the forward pre-collision alert as part of the LSS+ 2.0 suite of safety systems. This technology uses sensors to detect obstacles that enter the vehicle’s path, such as other vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians. When the system determines a collision is imminent, an alert is sounded and if you don’t react in time, the RX will apply the brakes automatically in order to avoid or mitigate the contact. The accident mitigation aspect helps to reduce the severity of injuries and the cost of repairs by lowering the force of the impact, when it is impossible to avoid it entirely.
The rear cross-traffic alert
The 2022 Lexus RX is available with an advanced rear-cross traffic alert system that looks out for incoming vehicles when you back out of parking spots where it is hard to see if there are cars arriving perpendicularly. If a vehicle is deemed to be on a collision course, the alert is activated and the RX can even brake on its own to avoid the accident.
The Lane Keeping Assist
Also part of the LSS+ 2.0 suite standard on the 2022 Lexus RX, the Lane Keeping Assist monitors the road markings in order to alert you If the vehicle exits its lane when the turn signal is not in use. This helps prevent the RX from colliding with oncoming traffic or a vehicle driving in the blind spot as well as going off the road in a moment of driver inattention. In order to help you steer the vehicle, this system uses gentle steering inputs to keep the RX in the middle of its own lane.
